THE UKRAINE FOREIGN MINISTER DMITRY KULEBA URGES INDIA TO DEFINE NON-NEUTRAL SIDE ON THE UKRAINE CRISIS

NEW DELHI, 28 April. /TASS/. Dmitry Kuleba, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister urged New Delhi to choose sides on the Ukraine crisis by abandoning its neutral position.

The statement was made during an interview conducted by India Today today – Thursday

Dmitry Kuleba – The Ukrainian Foreign Minister statement quote -

"We appreciate the sympathy for Ukraine that comes from the Indian leadership. We also appreciate India's position that the war must stop. At the same time, I must say that in these circumstances, a neutral position will not help," he said. In his opinion, "the best way to do this is to support Ukraine."

Like the United States, even Kuleba revised the phrase, “Russia now is different from the one with which India has developed special cooperation." He also acknowledged the old friendship of India-Russia.

The Indian Foreign Minister – Mr. Subramanyam Jaishankar already stated India’s position on the Ukraine crisis and did voice clearly the need of an urgent cease fire by adopting diplomacy channel to sublime the heated conflict between Ukraine-Russia.

India enlisted among the 50 countries that distanced from voting against Russia at the UN that had objective of expelling Russia from the Human Rights Council.

The west’s concerned raised over India’s move when it abstained voting in the General Assembly session at the UN Security Council meet against Russia.

The Ukraine invasion begun on February 24 and is still in play.

Since the start of Ukraine invasion, India is under pressure from the Western nation to shoulder their side going against Russia. A number of International trade sanctions were slapped on Moscow but India never detached from Russia, rather stands with Russia supporting stability to Russia's economy.

The India-Russia friendship dates back to the Soviet era when on call by the then Prime Minister of India Hon'ble Indira Gandhi, Soviet dispatched its naval war fleet to confront America and Britain's navy that were about to attack on India supporting Pakistan.

Time has strengthen Russia-India bond and its quite near to impossible to lure India against Russia, especially when India has versatile leader like Mr. Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of India.
